CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

     The nursing assistant course is a 90 hours certification training, that must be approved by the NJ Division of Health and Senior Services. During the course of training, the trainees are prepared to provide supportive care in all areas of activities of daily living. The CNA training prepares the students to take the certification examination. Candidates who pass the examination, will become Certified Nursing Assistants. The Certified Nursing Assistant is able to find employment in many health care settings. All candidates will need to provide proof of immunization, legal status to reside in the United States, have a working knowledge of the English language and that they are free from communicable diseases.   The management of Crown Care may remove a student from the class, if it is deemed that the candidate is  an inappropriate candidate to become a CNA.

CERTIFIED HOMEMAKER/HOME HEALTH AIDE (CHHA)

     The New Jersey Board of Nursing oversees the CHHA training. This course is a 76 hours training. The focus of the training is specifically geared to train student to provide care in a home or homelike setting. Homemakers assist clients with activities of daily living while remaining at home in familiar surrounding . The CHHA student receives a total of 60 hours of classroom training and 16 hours of clinical skills training. Upon completion of the 76 hours of training, students take and pass a competency examination before they can be certified as Home Health Aides. All candidates will need to provide proof of immunization, legal status to reside in the United States, have a working knowledge of the English language and that they are free from communicable diseases.  The management of Crown Care may remove a student from the class, if it is deemed that the candidate is an inappropriate fit for the training.

CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDES (CMA)

     Any candidate interested in completing the Certified Medication Aide training, must either be a certified nursing assistant and or a certified homemaker/ home health aide in good standing. This course is a 30 hours minimum training . Students are trained and prepared to safely administer medications to clients in an assisted living facility, personal care homes, and or in comprehensive care setting. All certified Medication Aides work under the delegation of a registered nurse. To become a Certified Medication Aide, the student must pass an examination that is approved by the Department of Health and Senior services and managed by PSI. PSI is a national agency that manages many state licensing examinations. All candidates will need to provide proof of immunization, legal status to reside in the United States, have a working knowledge of the English language and that they are free from communicable diseases.  The management of Crown Care may remove a student from the class, if it is deemed that the candidate is an inappropriate fit for the training.






Classes are offered monthly, we have weekday and weekend classes, we also offer evening classes.
